Spend the afternoon with colleagues discussing practitioner inquiries in early childhood pedagogy and practice. At this event, MA students in early childhood studies from the University of Roehampton, Froebel College, and their tutors will present provocations in the form of photo work and narrative storying about pedagogy in the early years. We will discuss a range of pedagogic approaches and the techniques of pedagogic documentation as democratic practice, in an effort to raise and nourish consciousness about the currency of Froebel’s ideas: what it might mean to ‘Live’ with children. This gallery of pedagogy will allow you the opportunity to read, discuss, and think critically about environments, materials, and relatedness with and for young children. The gallery will feature photographs of pedagogic moments and a treasure basket for us to engage in sensory dialogue about simplicity and treasure in the common worlds we share with each other.
